Nana Abulidze is a Georgian photographer based on the United States East coast. She grew up in a rural village in Buryatia, Russia, and after moved back to her roots in Georgia.

As a child living in the post-communist era after the fall of the Soviet Union, Nana spent summers in the Tusheti mountains in Georgia. With no-everyday comforts, this minimal lifestyle brought her closer to nature and people. These alleged lackings from a Western perspective made everything curious for Nana, inspiring a deep urge to explore the world around her uninhibited.

Her love for photography comes from her father, who always took pictures and films of her and her sister. But the strongest feeling of the purpose of doing something important on our Earth came after the Russian-Georgian war in 2008, leading to a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass communication.

In 2016, she moved to New York and has been working on art projects and portraiture. In 2022, Nana went to Indonesia to create the story Dog Balination —  dogs used in animal religious sacrifices. She continues to expand on this narrative of animal rituals in Georgia and other areas of the world.

Images shape thoughts and feelings that are means of expression of her within reality.
